Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation – Wesley Chapel, Florida

Opened in August 2022, the 180,000-square-foot building focuses on career and technical education areas of study, which include digital technology and engineering, to biomedical science, cyber security, building construction, robotics and more. The HVAC systems were designed by Engineering Matrix and consists of Dual Path Multi-Zone Air Handlers and VAV systems as well as a Central Energy Plant.

AdventHealth Kissimmee Bed Tower Expansion – Kissimmee, Florida

Adding an extra three floors to an already existing patient tower, this $84 million project is one among many improvements made to the AH Kissimmee campus. Completed in 2021, this 123,000 square foot addition added 80 private rooms, bringing the campus bed count up to 240. The HVAC systems included the addition of 13 new air handling units, 190 VAV terminal units, multiple exhaust fans, hydronic pumps and boilers. The systems were designed by TLC Engineering Solutions

AdventHealth Celebration Patient Tower – Celebration, Florida

This five-story patient tower was complete in 2020 with 80 private patient rooms. This project has the capacity for a total of 120 rooms when the additional capacity is need and also allows for the expansion of the cardiac and interventional neurological services. With these services, the tower will be the first comprehensive stroke center in the area. The project consisted of HVAC VAV systems. The HVAC systems were designed by TLC Engineering Solutions.

Dr. Kiran C. Patel High School – Temple Terrace, Florida

This 66,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art educational facility was constructed in 2019. The HVAC systems were designed by Colwill Engineering Mechanical, Inc. The building was constructed by Element Construction.

Florida Hospital-Apopka, Florida

The construction of this facility began late 2015 and opened in December 2017. The facility consisted of a 6-story structure with a 50,000 square foot Emergency Dept. Providing 120 Private patient rooms, Operating rooms, Laboratory, Pharmacy and various treatment amenities. An attached Medical Office Building of 80,000 square feet was also part of the new facility. The mechanical equipment included Water Cooled Chillers, Rooftop A/C units, Air Handling Units, Constant Volume Terminal units and various types of exhaust fans. The mechanical systems were design by TLC Engineering for Architecture-Healthcare division in Orlando, Florida. The project was managed and constructed by the Brasfield & Gorrie Company.

Florida Hospital-Winter Garden, Florida

This project opened in February 2016 and began serving the Winter Garden communities with state of the art health care. The facility consisted of a 3-story structure with an Emergency Dept. Operating rooms, Laboratory and various treatment amenities. The mechanical equipment included Air Cooled Chillers, Heat Recovery Chiller, Rooftop A/C units, Constant Volume Terminal units and various types of exhaust fans. The mechanical systems were design by TLC Engineering for Architecture-Healthcare division in Orlando, Florida.

Florida Citrus Bowl Renovation-Orlando, Florida

This $207 million project was successfully completed in early 2015 and has been completely transformed into a new facility. HNTB Corporation was the General Contractor. One of the major renovations is the additional seating with extra leg space. The revamped stadium’s capacity is 75,000 people. The mechanical systems were designed by Tilden, Lobnitz and Cooper Engineers-Orlando, Florida.

Sanders Elementary School-Land O Lakes, Florida

This replacement school was completed in 2015 and replaced an aging facility that was inadequate for the growing community. The project was constructed by the Ajax Building Corporation and included but not limited to a two-story classroom building, a media center, cafeteria and administration building. The mechanical systems were designed by Lyle Engineering Group in Tampa, Florida.

Largo Medical Center Freestanding ER-Clearwater, Florida

This $8,000,000 project was completed in October 2014 and consists of a 10,620 square foot, single story building. The HVAC systems design includes 100% make-up air dx unit serving multiple VRF systems. This project was successfully completed on-time. The Devenney Group Ltd. designed the building and the mechanical systems were designed by CCRD Professional Consulting Engineers-Dallas Texas.

Darden Restaurants-Orlando, Florida

This $152,000,000 project is the new headquarters for the Darden Restaurant Group. Darden restaurants include Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze, among others. The two-story, 465,000 square foot project included office space, data center, retail shops, 6 test kitchens, fitness center and dry cleaners. The HVAC systems consisted of 3 chillers, 2 pumps, 41 air-handling units, 550 variable air volume terminal units, 150 exhaust fans, and over 3100 air devices, and were designed by Tilden, Lobnitz and Cooper Engineers.

Florida Hospital Ginsberg Tower-Orlando, Florida

This $255,000,000 project was completed in 2009. The 675,000 square foot facility expansion consisted on a 15 story tower addition, making it the tallest hospital building in Florida. The Ginsburg Tower is home to one of the largest cardiac departments in the country. The addition was constructed by Brasfield & Gorrie General Contractors. The HVAC systems consisted of 26 air handling units, 780 constant volume terminal units, 62 exhaust fans, over 2400 air devices, and were designed by Tilden, Lobnitz and Cooper Engineers.

Tradition Medical Center-Port St. Lucie, Florida

This $65 million dollar project consisted of a 90-bed, 205,000 square foot, 6-story hospital, as well as, a 1-story, 8,000 square foot central energy plant. Tradition Medical Center opened in December of 2013 and provides medical surgical services, an intensive care unit, an emergency department and a neonatal intensive care unit. The HVAC systems consisted of 11 air handling units, 24 fan coil units, 368 variable air volume terminal units, 6 energy recovery units, 48 exhaust fans, 14 hydronic pumps, 1 fume hood, 4 kitchen hoods, 3 cooling towers, 3 boilers, and over 1,600 air devices. This project was designed by Tilden, Lobnitz and Cooper Engineering-Healthcare Division in Orlando, Florida.

Halifax Medical Center-Daytona Beach, Florida

This 555,000 square foot project consisted of a 10-story tower addition to the existing facility. The World Class medical facility has the largest Emergency Department in the state of Florida, an expansive 89,000 square feet. The hospital is home to the area’s only Level II Trauma Center. The new tower has been named the “France Tower” in recognition of the France family’s contribution. The project was designed by Perkins & Will Architects and constructed by Robins & Morton. The HVAC systems consisted of 22 air handling units, 37 exhaust fans, 4 heat exchangers, 596 constant volume terminal units, 4 pumps, 94 fan coil units, 639 hot water coils, 3110 air devices, and were designed by Tilden, Lobnitz and Cooper Engineers.

UCF Bio Science Facility-Lake Nona, Florida

Construction of the Burnett Biomedical Sciences Building began in May of 2007 and the 198,000 square-foot building was completed in 2009. The new facility is the first phase of the Lake Nona Campus construction project. The project was constructed by Whiting-Turner. The HVAC systems consisted of 15 air handling units, 581 variable air volume terminal units, 21 exhaust fans, 2 chillers, 10 hydronic pumps, 47 fume hoods, over 1000 air devices, and were designed by Newcomb and Boyd Consulting Engineering Group.

Halifax Medical Center-Port Orange, Florida

This 5-story medical office building was converted to provide an emergency department, procedure rooms, laboratory, and patient care rooms. The project consisted of a total replacement of the chilled water Air Handling Units and most of the existing duct systems. The HVAC systems were controlled by a Siemens DDC system. The project was designed by Tilden, Lobnitz and Cooper Engineering and was completed in 2006.

Memorial Medical Park – Bunnell, Florida

This project was completed in 2002 and consisted of a total replacement hospital for Flagler County. The 2-story facility included 80 patient care rooms, 4 operating suites, a blood laboratory, a pain management center, a fitness center, a cafeteria, and a medical office building. The HVAC systems consisted of water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, constant volume terminal boxes and a Johnson Controls DDC energy management system. The HVAC systems were designed by Tilden, Lobnitz and Cooper Engineers.
